Henry Pentico

On Saturday last, Mr. Henry Pentico, a highly respected resident of this community, died from a paralytic stroke, after lying unconscious for several days. His funeral was held in the Congregational Church of this place Tuesday at 3 o’clock, Rev. Barber preaching the sermon. Henry Pentico was born in York County, Penn., July 24, 1832 and died April 4, 1903.

He married Amanda Cline on July 10, 1856.

They were the parents of fourteen children, nine boys and five girls, of which eleven survive.

He moved to Jasper County in 1886.

His wife died September 25, 1895.

The children; Jacob, of Woodward, Catherine of Westover, Penn., Adeline of Woodward, Abraham of Reasnor, Missouri of Lamont, William of Colfax, Nelson of Ulin, Minn., John of Bennett, Sherman of Prairie City, Winslow of Vandalia and Nellie of Ulin, Minn.
