George McNeal, a nine-year-old boy, was crushed by the cars today between 11 and 12 o’clock, while he was following his usual custom of jumping on and off the trains. It seems that no one happened to see the accident but it is thought that the little fellow was caught between the bumpers. His left arm was crushed off as was part of the side of his face and there was a hole in the right side of the breast. He lived for a couple of hours in that condition, his heart being exposed to view so that its action could be seen. Fortunately the shock was so great that that the little fellow did not suffer pain.

This should be a lesson to the boys who think it fun to hang around the depots and jump on and off the cars. But lessons are plenty and the willingness to heed them is lacking.
