Mrs. Ed Mead, who had for fifty years been a resident of Monroe, died last Saturday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Charles Caffrey, in Knoxville. The funeral was held in Des Moines today.

Word was received here today of the death of Mrs. Mary Mead of Monroe, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Caffertie at Knoxville. The funeral will take place at Des Moines. Mrs. Mead was a sister of Mrs. Finnessey of Monroe and an aunt of Mrs. Martin O’Connor.
