WILBUR MCCAULEY--Funeral services will be held from the Methodist Episcopal church in Monroe this afternoon, April 25, 1933 for Wilbur McCauley, who died Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 from a paralytic stroke suffered at 8:00 Tuesday morning, from which he never regained consciousness. The services are to be conducted by Rev. O.S. Hisseltine, pastor, after which the remains will be laid to rest in the Monroe cemetery. Wilbur McCauley was born on a farm three miles north of Monroe on February 11, 1884 and was the son of Oscar and Selina McCauley. Growing to manhod on the farm, he married to Emma Herwehe, September 20, 1905 and to this union were born one dauther, Mrs. Honor Balmer of Monroe and two sons, Clare of Des Moines and Merritt of Monroe. After marriage the couple went to houskeeping on the farm where Mr. McCauley died. While a young man he united with the Bellvue church, later taking up his membership in the Methodist church of Monroe. For the past four years Mr. McCauley had been in poor health and on last Saturday he was in Monroe, where he talked with his many friends. Surviving relatives include the widow, two sons, one dauther, two grandchildren, Carolyn Ann McCauley fo Des Moines and Twilla Jean Balmer of Monroe; Elmer a brother of Santa Ana, CA. The father preceded him in death in 1927 and the mother died three years ago.
