Elisha H. Janeway of Washington, Kansas, is visiting relatives and many of his old friends in Jasper County. Mr. Janeway has just returned from New York City, where he had gone to see his son Edward, who had been stricken with apoplexy and who died shortly after his father arrived at his bedside. Mr. Janeway lived in this township from 1867 to 1881.
