=======================
Mrs. William Eychaner died at her home in Marshalltown, May 6 and was brought to Kellogg Monday, May 8, 1899, for burial at her old home.

Mrs. Eychaner was a daughter of John Gottschall of Kellogg. She was married to Mr. Eychaner May 8, 1894. Until recently they lived in the north part of Jasper County. A short time ago Mr. Eychaner went to Marshalltown and established a feed store. His wife joined him there just three weeks ago, with their children, a little four-year-old girl and a babe only seven weeks old. She was taken with typhoid fever and soon succumbed.

The remains were taken to Kellogg Monday, May 8, just five years from the day of the wedding of deceased.

Mrs. Eychaner was but 21 years old last January and her untimely death is a very heavy blow to the family and friends. The sympathy of all goes out to the motherless children and sorrowing husband. The burial was at Amboy and the floral tributes were profuse and beautiful. The pallbearers were members of the Knights of Pythias, in honor of the father of the deceased. The services were conducted by the pastor of the M. E. Church. ~ Iowa State Democrat, Thursday, May 11, 1899, Page 1, Column 2
