Napoleon Logsdon

The Newton (IA) Daily Herald, Saturday, January 10, 1903

Page 1, Column 5

James O. Logsdon last evening received word of the death of his son, Napoleon B. Logsdon, who was a miner at the Saylorville mines, about two miles north of Highland Park, Des Moines. Mr. Logsdon and his two sons, Willard and Jesse, accompanied by Willard’s wife, went up there this morning. It seems that in some manner deceased fell down the shaft and was terribly crushed. He would have been twenty-five had he lived until Feb. 14th. He leaves a wife and one child. He had been married twice and his first wife was buried in Monroe, whither his remains will probably be taken.
