John Laird, one of the well-known citizens of the Reasnor neighborhood, died yesterday at the home of his son James, near Reasnor, after an illness of many months.

Mr. Laird was born in Ireland and was about 72 years of age. He came to this county forty years ago. He was married thirty-eight years ago to Miss Jennie Erwin and to them were born five children, all of whom are living. They are as follows: John and James A. of Reasnor, Mrs. Elizabeth Hanson of Colfax, Mrs. Anna Wilson of Beresford, S. D., Mrs. Frank Bean of Payette, Idaho.

Mr. Laird had been very despondent since the death of his wife, who passed away almost two years ago. He lived in Reasnor until recently when he went to the home of his son James north of that place where the funeral will occur tomorrow at ten o’clock.
