Age 92 Of Manchester, Iowa Died on Saturday, January 19, 2013, at the Regional Medical Center in Manchester. She was born on October 25, 1920, at Lake Mills, the daughter of Wilmer and Ella (Hermanson) Peterson. Arlene was an Ames High School graduate. Survivors include her husband, Douglas E. Oakleaf of Manchester; three children, Thomas Douglas (Janet) Oakleaf of Manchester, Sandra Ann Meyer of Shoreview, Minnesota, and Sharon Oakleaf Olson of Eagan, Minnesota; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two sisters, LaVonne (John) Erickson of Newton, and Olive Booth of Ames. Arlene was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Robert Peterson; a sister, Esther Stutzman; and a son-in-law, James Meyer. Memorial Service: 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 23, 2013, at Leonard-Muller Funeral Home in Manchester. Officiating: Rev. Allan Oman. www.leonard-mullerfh.com

Arlene Adeline Oakleaf, 92, of Manchester, Iowa, died on Saturday, January 19, 2013, at the Regional Medical Center in Manchester. She was born on October 25, 1920, at Lake Mills the daughter of Wilmer and Ella (Hermanson) Peterson. Arlene was an Ames High School graduate.

Arlene was united in marriage to Douglas E. Oakleaf on January 10, 1943, in Ames. Three children were born to this union. Arlene was a wife and homemaker. They resided in Iowa, Illinois, Nebraska, and Minnesota. The past year they have resided at the Meadows in Manchester. Prior to moving to Manchester they resided in Minnesota for 35 years.

Arlene was an excellent seamstress and knitter. She loved and enjoyed her family.

Survivors include her husband, Douglas E. Oakleaf of Manchester; three children, Thomas Douglas (Janet) Oakleaf of Manchester, Sandra Ann Meyer of Shoreview, Minnesota, and Sharon Oakleaf Olson of Eagan, Minnesota; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two sisters, LaVonne (John) Erickson of Newton, and Olive Booth of Ames.
