Anna Claussen Dies on Sunday; Services Tuesday

Mrs. Anna Claussen, 83, a lifelong resident of Jasper County, died Sunday morning at the Shaw Nursing Home

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Toland Funeral Home.

The Rev. Marvin E. Suhr, pastor of the First Lutheran Church, will conduct the services. Burial will be in Newton Union Cemetery.

Toland Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

The casket will be closed at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday and will not be opened after the services.

Mrs. Claussen is survived by a grandson, Glenn Allen Jackson and a granddaughter, Miss Donna Sellers of Des Moines.

She was a member of the First Lutheran Church.

She owned and operated the Claussen Nursing Home in Newton for several years.

She was born Jan 15, 1881 in Jasper County and attended Jasper County Schools.
