Life Story of Ida Koder

Mrs. John W. (Ida J.) Koder, 93, of 200 S. 8th Ave. E., a resident of Newton since 1944, died Tuesday morning at the Embassy Manor Care Center.
Funeral services will be held at 2 o’clock Thursday afternoon at the Toland-Wallace Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Gifford Cemetery in Monroe.
Survivors are a son, Elvin of Prairie City, a daughter, Mrs. Lawson (Margaret) Bailey of Monroe, 11 grandchildren, and 27 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Mar. 8, 1976, two sons, Chester and Hubert, a daughter, Mrs. Lowell (Marie) Perry, a grandson and several sisters and brothers.
Mrs. Koder was a former member of Tools Chapel Church.
The daughter of Charles and Martha Dunaway Stine, she was born April 16, 1894 at Otley.
She was married to John W. Koder June 12, 1907 in Newton.
