Life Story of Flossie Stine
Funeral services for Mrs. Elsworth (Flossie) Stine, 70, of Monroe, a lifetime resident of Jasper County, were held Friday afternoon at the Monroe United Methodist Church.

The Rev. James V. Poulsen, minister of the church, conducted the services. Burial was in Monroe Silent Cemetery.

Mrs. Kathryn Lubberden, the organist, accompanied the soloist, Mrs. Juanita Dockum.

Pallbearers were Howard Nimmo, Floyd Tidball, Walter Ratcliff, Kenneth Hammer, Ralph Stewart and Forrest Dailey.

Mrs. Cassie Rickabaugh, Mrs. Agnes Ross and Mr. and Mrs. Dea Kennedy were in charge of flowers.

Survivors are a son, Robert Stine of Monroe; four daughters, Mrs. Donald (Ardelle) Nearmyer, Mrs. John (Frances) Smith and Mrs. Boyd (Ruth) Cochrane of Phoenix, Ariz., and Mrs. John (Lulu) Olivier of Mesa, Ariz., and a sister, Mrs. Mabel Hammer of Reasoner.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and brother, Grant Wilson.

Mrs. Stine was a member of the Women’s Relief Corps and the Amvet Auxiliary.

The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Wilson, she was born May 12, 1898 near Reasoner.
Mrs. Stine died December 31 in Collins Memorial Hospital in Knoxville.
