Charlotte Doty

Charlotte Doty died on Thursday, September 6, 2012. She was born on April 1, 1922 in Lovilia, Iowa to Tom and Anna Bennett.

Charlotte grew up in Newton, Iowa where she met and married her high school sweetheart Delmar Doty.

Charlotte is survived by her daughters Chardell (John) Powell and Debi (Jerry) Snodgrass and grandsons Mike and Scott Powell and Bryan and Eric (Gabi) Snodgrass. She is also survived by her great grandchildren, Keelin Reeder, Zachery Powell, and Mackenzie Snodgrass. Charlotte is survived by a sister, Mary Carnahan, a niece Sharon Mick who she considered her sister, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Charlotte was preceded in death by her husband, Delmar, her parents and sisters, Genny Starrett and Betty Pelzer.

The family would like to thank her friends and the staff at Wynwood Assisted Living for the loving care they gave to Charlotte. Also, to Pikes Peak Hospice for their care and compassion given to her these last few weeks.

In lieu of flowers Charlotte requested donations be sent to Silver Key. Visitation will be Thursday, September 13, 2012, 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. Advantage Chapel of Memories, 829 S. Hancock Ave Graveside services will be Friday, September 14, 2012, 10:00 a.m. Evergreen Cemetery, 1005 S. Hancock Avenue, Colorado Springs, Colorado.
