LaDonna Kay Thompson, 60, of Marshfield, Mo., formerly of Newton, died Friday, Oct. 5, 2012, at her home.

LaDonna Kay Thompson

La Donna Kay Thompson, daughter of Bernard and Kathrine (Gronwold) Collins, was born April 14, 1952, in Winterset, Iowa and departed this life October 5, 2012, at Cox South Hospital in Springfield, Missouri, at the age of sixty years.

She was united in marriage to Donald Thompson January 1, 1986. La Donna was a charter board member of the Butterfield Trail Cowboys and was a crane operator for a the Maytag manufacturing company.

La Donna was preceded in death by her parents and an infant sister.

She is survived her husband, Donald of the home; four sons, Jody Collins of Iowa, Stacy Harper and Connie of Michigan, Larry Thompson and Shannon of Iowa and Donnie Thompson of Iowa; one daughter, Lisa Thompson of Iowa; 15 grandchildren; 8 brothers and sisters, Marlene Trease of Iowa, Nancy Collins of Michigan, Terry Collins and Karla of Iowa, Randy Collins of Iowa, Jay Collins and Dorothy of Nebraska, Eugenia Adams and Brad of Iowa, Carla Jo Brake and Jim of Iowa, and Tillena Thompson and James of Iowa; brother-in-law, Dale Thompson of Marshfield; sisters in-law Mickey Kelly and Hershel and Ruth Thompson and Ben all of Iowa; 26 nieces and nephews, nephew Dennis Underwood of Marshfield; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 9, 2012 in Day Funeral Home, Marshfield with burial following in Marshfield Cemetery. Visitation will be 7 to 8 p.m. Monday, October 10, 2012 in the funeral home. ~ The Day Funeral Home Website, Marshfield, Mo.
