Graveside Service: 2:00 P.M., Friday, May 18, 2012 at Newton Union Cemetery in Newton.
Born on January 21, 1924 in the Newton Hospital and died on May 13, 2012 of cancer at Skiff Medical Center in Newton. He graduated from Newton High School in 1943 and was inducted into the Army during WWII and served his country in Japan. Wendell is preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Vivian; brother, Arlo Huff; and sister, Zora Rosenburg. Those left to honor his memory and carry on his humor include his wife, Patricia Colleen (Hay) Huff; and two children Connie Huff Essmeier of Seattle, Washington; and Rickie McKee Huff of Monroe, Iowa. His two grandsons, Chris and David; three granddaughters, Sarah, Holly and Kari; and one great grandson, Justin.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Wendell’s name may be left at the Wallace Family Funeral Home or brought to the graveside service.
