Visitation: The family will greet friends from 1-2 p.m., Wednesday, April 04, 2012 at the funeral home.

Graveside Service: 2 p.m., Wednesday, April 04, 2012 at the Newton Union Cemetery, 1600 W. 4th St. N. in Newton. Family and friends will gather at the funeral home and then go to the cemetery.
Interment: After the graveside service on Wednesday, April 04, 2012 at the Newton Union Cemetery. Military Honors done by American Legion Post 111 of Newton & Iowa Honor Guard Detail of the Iowa Army National Guard of Johnston.

Those left to honor Walter's memory are his two daughters, Jennifer Tentinger of Plano, Texas, and Tressa (Wes) Lepley of Newton; his son, Walter (Pat) McCracken of Ewa Beach, Hawaii; six grandchildren, Kate (Tim) Schlottman; Kris (Brian) Humenesky; Nick (Colleen) Lepley; Rachel Lepley; Shannon (Mike) Lefebvre; and Shane McCracken; his five great-grandchildren, Addison, and Kaitlin Humenesky; Allyssa, Kamiya, and Gavin Lepley, and one great-grandchild on the way; and brother, Jack McCracken of Seattle, Washington. He was preceded in death by his parents, Raleigh H. and Tressa M. (Pinnick) McCracken; wife, Pat in 2011; brother, Robert McCracken; and sister, Maureen Van Zomeren. ~ The Wallace Family Funeral Home, Newton, Iowa.
