Memorial Service: 2 p.m., Wednesday, March 28, 2012 at the funeral home.
Visitation: The family will greet friends from 12-2 p.m., Wednesday, March 28, 2012 at the funeral home.
Interment: Immediately following the memorial service on Wednesday, March 28, 2012 at the Newton Union Cemetery in Newton.

Those left to honor Bryce's memory are his mother, Amilee Parsons of Newton; brother, Leo (Phyllis) Parsons of Bentonville, Arkansas; sister, Sharon L. (Larry) Fitzgerald of Sun Lakes, Arizona; his nieces and nephews, Carol (Roy) Hansen, Randy (Kim) Townsend, Kirk Townsend, Laura (Curt) Guest, and Patrick (Lynette) Fitzgerald; his loyal friend and family member for the past seven years, JoJo. He was preceded in death by his father, Cleo J. Parsons; and nephew, Christopher Parsons.

Bryce served his country in the U. S. Air Force from January of 1969 – August of 1972, during the Vietnam War.

Bryce was a graduate of Newton High School in 1966; he also received his BS degree in Computer Science and Network Engineering from Beuna Vista University in Storm Lake, Iowa. He worked for the State of Iowa in the Department of Public Safety and then he became the Communications Director for the City of Madison, Wisconsin. He set up the 911 system there.

Bryce belonged to a Ham Radio Club. He was a drummer and loved music. Bryce had a big heart and love for pets. He also enjoyed hunting, fast motorcycles, being a ham radio operator and doing things with electronics.
