Visitation: The family will greet friends from 6-8 p.m., Monday, March 19, 2012 at the funeral home.
Funeral Service: 1 p.m., Tuesday, March 20, 2012 at the funeral home.
Interment: Following the funeral service, Tuesday, March 20, 2012 at Newton Union Cemetery.

Jerry was born on February 9, 1937 in Nebraska City, NE to William Frank and Nora Eunice (Shane) Spidell. He met his wife Ruth Earlene (Carpenter) in California, and they were married on February 9, 1961.

Left to honor Jerry’s memory are his wife, Ruth; his two children, Terrie (Brick) Kono and Jerry (Lynn) Kono; 4 grandchildren: Sandra (Tyler) Richards, Tim Kono, Tom Kono, and Jessica Spidell; 3 great-grandchildren: Kiera Kono and Samaria and London Richards; his brother, Clyde (Arlene) Spidell; his sister, Beverly Shappard; sister-in-law, Carlene Spidell; and many nieces and nephews.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Annabell; and two brothers, Edward and Floyd.
