Visitation: The family will greet friends from 12 p.m. until the time of service on Saturday, March 17, 2012 at the funeral home.
Funeral Service: 2 p.m., Saturday, March 17, 2012 at the funeral home.
Interment: Immediately following the funeral service on Saturday, March 17, 2012 at the Center Friends Cemetery in rural Newton.

Those left to honor Evelyn's memory are her sister, Eleanor (Morris) Trout of Jefferson City, Missouri; niece and nephews, Dixie L. Trout (Dennis Gromley) of High Amana, Perry H. (Sally E.) Trout of Leawood, Kansas, and David N. (Sandra) Trout of Jefferson City, Missouri; her great-nieces and nephews, Paul, Jason, Mirinda, Tyler, Daniel, Sarah, Jessica, Travis, and Samantha. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank S. and Mabel M. (Hammer) Hill; and husband, Marvin in 1993.

Evelyn was a graduate of Newton High School in 1944. She was the secretary to the Superintendent of Schools for the Newton Community School District; she worked for 30 years for the district before retiring.

Evelyn was a member of the Newton Women’s Club, C. W. Club, Golden K Kiwanis, Center Friends Church and the First Presbyterian Church

Evelyn loved her family, the color red, square dancing, swimming, Lawrence Welk, Branson, Arizona, traveling, and her SAS shoes.
