June 28, 1935 - February 21, 2012
Newton, Iowa

Visitation: The family will greet friends from 11 a.m., until the time of service on Saturday, February 25, 2012 at the funeral home.
Funeral Service: 1 p.m., Saturday, February 25, 2012 at the funeral home.
Interment: Immediately following the funeral service on Saturday, February 25, 2012 at the Newton Union Cemetery in Newton.

Those left to honor Thelma's memory are her husband of 59+ years, Kenneth; children, Vickie Crutchfield of Kellogg, Larry Landgrebe of Monroe, Gary (Melody) Landgrebe of Newton, Jerry (Marcie) Landgrebe of Newton, and Melinda (Ronald) Kirtley of Melcher Dallas; her sixteen grandchildren, Dale, Jennifer, Heather, Larry Jr., Aubrey, Edna, Audrey, Beatrice, Kenneth, Kerri, Brad, Jeff, Brad, Jennifer, Shannon, and Christin; thirty-six great-grandchildren, and her two great-great-granddaughters. She was preceded in death by parents, son-in-law, Richard Crutchfield; four brothers, and five sisters.

Thelma had worked as a cook, waitress, and a restaurant manager. She had worked at Washer City/George’s, Owl Lunch in Newton, Country Kitchen, the Izaak Walton, and she was a homemaker.

Thelma was a member of the New Life Community Church of the Nazarene.

Thelma loved being with her family, especially her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. She also loved cooking, gardening, canning, camping, girls 6 on 6 basketball, riding her bicycle, and quilting. People enjoyed Thelma’s fudge and homemade noodles.

MEMORIALS to the New Life Community Church of the Nazarene or to the Jasper County Church of Christ may be left at the Wallace Family Funeral Home in Newton.
