Visitation: The family will greet friends from 5-7 p.m., Thursday, February 23, 2012 at the funeral home.
Graveside Service: 10:30 a.m., Saturday, February 25, 2012 at Palo Alto Cemetery in rural Newton.
Homer is survived by his wife JoAnne (Patterson) Lindsey of Monroe; 2 sons, Clark (Angela) Yarbrough of Virginia, and Ricky (Monica) Lindsey of Washington; 1 daughter Vicky (Ed) McClelland of Kellogg; 5 grandkids, Nicole, Joshua (Brooke), Patrick (Michelle), Douglas, and Corina; 7 great-grandkids; 2 sisters, Darlene Willson of Des Moines, and Barbara Stiffler of Newton; and many nieces and nephews. Homer was preceded in death by his parents Matthew and Sarah (McDonald) Lindsey; 3 brothers, Walter Lindsey, Matthew Lindsey, and Bernard Lindsey; 2 sisters, Lilly Koppin, and Helen Dunn

Homer received his high school GED.

Homer enjoyed fishing, woodworking, tinkering with everything, and especially spending time with his family.
