Visitation: Immediately following the memorial service with a coffee time on Friday, January 27, 2012 at the funeral home.
Victoria S. Mulbrook, the daughter of Willis and Arlene (Svejda) Coonts, was born on November 23, 1947 in Webster County, Iowa. Growing up, her family lived in many places, but she had called Newton, Iowa her home for nearly 40 years. Vicky was united in marriage with Frank Scott Mulbrook in October of 1986 at the Metz Church in rural Newton. She was a homemaker and dedicated her life to her family. Vicky was a talented writer and cook. She also enjoyed flower and vegetable gardening with her husband. Vicky was an extremely organized person and liked to take care and help people. She was a loving and devoted wife, mom, grandma, sister, and friend. Vicky died at the age of 64 on Saturday, January 21, 2012, at her home in rural Newton. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Michael Coonts; and her sister, Constance “Connie” Smith. Those left to honor Vicky’s memory are her husband, Frank Scott Mulbrook of rural Newton; 2 sons, Brooks (Brandy) Boertje of Lynnville, Iowa and Brian Boertje of Newton; her granddaughter, Taylor Boertje; and father and mother-in-law, Floyd and Donna Mulbrook.
