Funeral Service: 10:30 A.M., Saturday, January 21, 2012 at the funeral home.
Interment: Immediately following the funeral service on Saturday, January 21, 2012 at Newton Union Cemetery.

Those left to honor Catherine's memory are her 2 sons, Terry (Carol) VeVerka of Newton and Jim (Mary Joyce) VeVerka of Ames; 7 Grandchildren, Cary Ann (Steve) Rutherford, Cindy McManus, Jerred (Michelle) VeVerka, Ronda (Eulalio) Uresti, Christin (Bill) Bechtel, James (Lindsey) VeVerka, and Benton VeVerka; her 13 great-grandchildren; many great-great-grandchildren; and her many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ruben and Cora (Richmond) McMaster; husband, Thomas Kennedy in 2007; her 4 brothers, Perry, Robert, John, and Joe McMaster; and a sister, Cora, in infancy.

Catherine was a sales coordinator for Newton Manufacturing for 37 years. She was a member of the Church of Christ in Newton and the Rebekah Lodge.

She enjoyed spending time with her family and watching basketball.
