RIDGEWAY, Mo. — James Lewis Karas, 57, of Ridgeway, Mo., passed away Tuesday, July 3, 2012, at his home.

He was born June 26, 1955, in Marshalltown, Iowa, the son of Lewis and Lois M. (Davids) Karas.

Survivors include his mother, Lois Smith, Newton, Iowa; his sister, Vickie (Gary) Kirkendoll of Newton, Iowa; his brothers, Garry (Sandy) Karas of North Kansas City, Mo., Larry (Chila) Karas of Excelsior Springs, Mo., Terry Karas of Newton, Iowa, and Jeff (Sharilyn) Smith of Pella, Iowa; and 11 nieces and nephews.

A private family inurnment at a later date at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Cincinnati, Iowa. Mr. Karas has been cremated under the direction of Roberson Funeral Home of Bethany, Mo. ~ The Newton (IA) Daily News, July 12, 2012
