Delbert Stover dies Friday
Rites today
Monroe - Funeral services for Delbert Stover, 75, of Monroe, a resident of Newton until moving to Monroe in 1943, were held today at the Monroe First Baptist Church.

The Rev. Eldon Peals, pastor of the church, conducted services. Burial was in the Silent City Cemetery in Monroe.

Walters-Coburn Funeral Home in Monroe handled arrangements.

Memorial contributions to the Monroe First Baptist Church will be accepted.

He died Friday at the Pella Community Hospital.

Survivors are his wife, a son and daughter-in-law, Marvin and Sue Stover of Prairie City; a daughter, Mrs. Lynn (Delores) Donahue of Monroe; three grandchildren; a brother, Harry, of Redondo Beach, Calif.; and a sister Mrs. Virgil (Helen) Miller of Kellogg.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and four brothers.

Mr. Stover, a member of the Monroe First Baptist Church has been a sexton at several area cemeteries for many years

The son of Arthur and Ellen Long Stover, he was born Aug. 12, 1904 in Washington state.

He was married to Marie Van Wyk Feb 28, 1948 in Monroe.
