Alvah L. Hanke, Jasper Farmer, Stricken Today

Alvah L. Hanke, 56, Jasper county farmer, died this morning of a heart attack at his home one mile east of Mitchellville.

Mr. Hanke was stricken in the house about six o'clock this morning and died before a doctor arrived, County Coroner Ralph Toland said. He had been in ill health several years.

Survivors are his widow; one son, Kenneth at home; his mother, Mrs. Dallas Hanke of Newton; two brothers and one sister. ~ Newton Daily News, April 2, 1952, page 1, column 6.

Note: He is buried in Mitchellville Cemetery.
