Mrs. W. W. Morgan Services Friday

Funeral services for Mrs. W. W. (Leona Edith) Morgan, 59, of 1408 N. fourth Ave. E., will be held at 9 p.m. Friday at the First Christian Church.

Mrs. Morgan died Tuesday afternoon at her home.

The Rev. Paul Becker will conduct the services. Burial will be in Palo Alto Cemetery.

Johnson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Morgan is survived by her husband, Wayne; two sons. Joseph E. Morgan of Newton and Byron D. Morgan of Newton; eight grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Cora Gold of Council Bluffs, Mrs. Iva Dougherty of Gravity and Mrs. Lucille Burwell of Beaumont, Tex.; and two brothers, Edward Moore of Conway, Iowa, and Alvin Moore of Nebraska City, Neb.

She was a member of the First Christian Church and the Courtesy Club.

The daughter of Ira and Cenia Riley Moore, she was born Aug. 6, 1902 at Gravity where she received her education.

She was married to W. W. (Wayne) Morgan in 1920.

Mrs. Morgan lived in Gravity until 1922, moving to Iowa City for two years and residing in Chariton for two years before coming to Newton in 1926.
