Greeley, Colo.- Carrie Benjamin, 74, of Greeley, Colo., died Monday Sept 1 in Greeley.

Gravesite rites will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Newton Union Cemetery.

The Rev. H. Eugene Cedarholm, pastor of the Newton First Lutheran Church, will conduct the services.

Reese Funeral Home is in charge of Newton arrangements.

Survivors are her husband, Laurence of Greeley, Colo.; a son, Bill Benjamin of Gill, Colo.; a daughter, Lila Wacker of Pierce, Colo.; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Also surviving are two sisters, Marg Gildersleeve of Grinnell and Odeatha Hackney of Gifford.

Born March 27, 1912 in Kellogg, she was a 1930 graduate of Newton Community High School.

Mrs. Benjamin, who was married Dec 24, 1930, moved to Greeley from Newton in March 1947.

NOTE: even though the obituary gave Sept 1, 1986 as date of death, both the Social Security death index and her headstone give the date of death as Aug 31,1986. According to her birth records Carrie Evangeline Mulbrook is the daughter of John Mulbrook and Emma Lightfoot,
