Eleanor m. Christen Peterson, 76, of Albuquerque, N. M., formerly of Newton, died Sunday, Jan. 16, in Albuquerque.

Funeral services were held Jan. 19 at Cross of Hope Lutheran Church in Albuquerque.

The daughter of John and Matilda Kaufhold Christen, she was a 1941 graduate of Newton High School. She married John Peterson in 1948.

Survivors include her husband; three sons and two daughters-in-law, John and Peggie of Sterling, Tom and Marj, and Tim, all of Alburquerque; four grandchildren; four brothers, George Christen of Independence, Mo., Raymond Christen of Denver, Colo., Duane Christen of Ft. Collins, Colo., and Milton Christen of Newton; and a sister, Leona Loveland of Kansas City, Mo.
