ErmaLee was a housekeeper for many years to several, what she always stated, "really nice people to work for." ErmaLee loved to have flowers, plants, gardening and canning. She won several awards at the Iowa State Fair for her fancy work, jam and jellies. She and her husband enjoyed dancing at Pioneer Hall and she was also and excellent cook and pie baker. ErmaLee and Melvin loved nature. She was a member of the Vandalia Church of Christ. In her last few years, ErmaLee was in good hands while the people of Mitchell Village Care Center cared for her.
