Services Today For

Harold "Gandy" Smith

Funeral services for Harold William "Gandy" Smith, 68 will be held at 2:pm today (Thrusday, Jan. 16, 1992 at the Walters-Coburn Funeral Home in Colfax.

The Rev. John McKinstry, pastor of the Howard Street Christian Church in Colfax will conduct the services. Burial will be in the Colfax Cemetery.

Graveside military rites will be conducted by the Newton V.F.W.

Mr. Smith died Monday January 13, 1992 at Veterans Hospital in Des Moines Ia.

He was born December 6, 1923 in Newton, the son of James Glen and Arminda L. Teed Smith.

Mr. Smith was a memeber of the V.F.W in Newton Ia.

Surviving are three brothers, Norman Smith, Darvin Smith both of Colfax, Ia. and Leo Smith of Phoenix, Az. and one sister Jeanetta Christensen of Des Moines and several neices and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers Wayne and Delmar and a sister Lillian Owens.
