Wayne J Smith 46, of Colfax, Dies; Services Sunday May 2, 1965

Funeral services for Wayne J. Smith 46, a resident since 1947 will be held at 2 pm Sunday at the Walters-Coburn Funeral Home in Colfax.

The Rev. Dale Nicholson, minister of the Colfax Methodist Church, will conduct the services. Burial will be in Colfax Cemetery.

MILITARY GRAVESIDE RITES WILL BE CONDUCTED BY THE COLFAX AMERICAN LEGION.

Mr. Smith died Thrusday at his home in Colfax. April 29, 1965.

Survivors are two sons, Larry and Robert both at home, his mother Mrs. James Glen Smith of Colfax four brothers, Norman, Harold, Darvin and Leo all of Colfax and two sisters Mrs. Lillian Owens of Newton and Mrs. Jeanetta Christensen of Des Moines.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Anna Jean Corbett, his father and brother Delmar Smith.
Mr. Smith a veteran of WORLD WAR II was a memeber of the Colfax American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars and Disabled American Veterans in Newton.

The son of James Glen Smith and Arminda L. Teed Smith, he was born Dec 3. 1918 in Collins, Iowa.
He was married to Anna Jean Corbett May 5, 1948 at Blair, Nebr.

Mr. Smith resided in Collins and Greencastle before coming to Colfax.
