Susan Kay Plagman was born September 01, 1949 and died Monday, May 09, 2011.
A memorial service will be at 11 a.m., Thursday, May 12, 2011 at the Lutheran Church Of The Cross, 1701 8th St. SW in Altoona. The family will greet friends from 6-8 p.m., Wednesday, May 11, 2011 at the Lutheran Church Of The Cross in Altoona.
Those left to honor Sue's memory are her son, Mike (Shery) Piercy of Sugar Grove, Illinois; her two daughters, Michelle (Chris) Rochleau of Council Bluffs, and Mellissa (Bob) Starace of Ames; six grandchildren, Stefanie, Ashley, Logan, Hailey, Reese, and Sammantha; her fiancé, Chuck Van Hoosen of Altoona; parents, Vern and Phyllis Plagman of Adel; her three brothers, Terry (Denise) Plagman of Runnells, Kevin (Kris) Plagman of Adel, and Jerry Plagman of Alta; her sister, Cindy (Kirk) Schnoebelen of Altoona. She was preceded in death by her brother, David Plagman.
Sue was a graduate of Alta High School in Alta. She also graduated from the Spencer School of Business in Spencer.
Sue was a member of the Lutheran Church Of The Cross, where she was a Sunday School teacher, was in a Bible study group, in Women Of Faith, and went on mission trips.
Sue was an Iowa Hawkeye Fan, she enjoyed flower gardening, quilting, and craft work.
Memorials to Blessman Ministries or to Mission Mexico International may be left at the church at the times of the visitation and memorial service or sent to the Wallace Family Funeral Home, 1115 E. 19th St. N., Newton, IA 50208 – Attn: Reimers Family.
