MRS. SCHULTZ, 67, DIES IN KELLOGG

Mrs. August Schultz, 67, of Kellogg died Friday night in Kellogg after a long illness.

Mrs. Schultz was born Sept. 16, 1902, to E.C. and Jenny Pringle of Turner, Ia. She married August Schultz on July 11, 1919, in Rock Island, Ill.

A longtime resident of Jasper County, she was an active member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Kellogg, for which she was the superintendent of Sunday schools. Mrs. Schultz was also a member of the Soroptimists and the Kellogg Garden Club.

Services were held today (Monday) at 1 p.m. at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Kellogg with Rev. W.H. Lindquist presiding. Interment was in Our Silent City cemetery, Kellogg.

Mrs. Schultz is the mother of Dick Schultz, the University of Iowa basketball coach, who resides in Iowa City. She is also survived by her husband; a brother, Carrol Schultz of Minnesota; four sisters, Mrs. Ernest (Zola) Brooks of Kellogg, Mrs. Fred (Elba) Paulson of Englewood, Calif., Mrs. Walter (Clara) Olavson of Des Moines, and Mrs. ElRoy (Thelma) Anderson of Antioch, Ill.; and three grandchildren.
