DIED
At his residence in Richland township, Jasper county, Iowa, Saturday, May 15th, 1886. August Schnell, aged 48 years and 10 days.

Deceased was born in Germany, but came to this country when quite young. He has been a resident of this county for about 18 years, and was highly respected by all who knew him. Was married in 1863, and was the father of 10 children. He leaves a wife and nine children, and a number of brothers and sisters to mourn his loss.

Mr. Schnell has been a great sufferer for a long time, and welcomed death that he might be free from pain. The funeral services were conducted at the family residence by Rev. F.A. Boden, of the German Lutheran church, of which Mr. Schnell was a faithful and honored member. Rev. Boden preached from Solomon 23:4. The remains were interred in the German cemetery near Galesburg. A large and sympathetic concourse of people were in attendance. The bereaved family has the sympathy of all in their sad affliction.
