--Rosa, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Attig, died in Kellogg on Wednesday evening, Dec. 19th, 1888 of congestion of the lungs, aged 11 years, 2 months and 21 days. She was sick for more than six weeks but bore her sufferings with patience and great fortitude. On the day preceding her death she requested her sister, Katie, to sing the following favorite songs: "Home Sweet Home," "What a Friend we have in Jesus" and "God be with you till we meet again." She was intelligent beyond her years, and before her spirit took its flight she told her parents and friends she was going to Jesus; could see the angels waiting to bear her spirit home. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. F. A. Boden, of the Lutheran church, and the remains were tenderly laid to rest in the German cemetery, west of town. A few hours before she died she called for her sister's autograph album and attempted to write, but strength failed her and she dictated the following, which we print at the request of the bereaved family:

Think of me long, think of me ever;
Think of the fun we've had together.
