Isaiah Sheeler, of this place, died very suddenly Tuesday evening. He has been sick for some time, but was around the house and not confined to his bed. Tuesday he seemed much better and ate a hearty supper. Soon after eating, his wife noticed he looked strange, but received no reply to her inquiry as to what was wrong; he sat back in his chair and ceased to breathe. The funeral will be at the house this afternoon at 3 o’clock. Obituary will be given later. ~ The Newton (IA) Record, Friday, June 5, 1896, Page 7, Column 4 – Monroe
