Verla M. Jackson, 97, of Newton passed away on Wednesday, April 6, 2011, at the Hospice of Jasper County Monarch Wing in Newton.
A memorial service will be at 11 a.m., Saturday, April 9, at the United Presbyterian Church in Newton with the Rev. Don Freeman officiating. The family will greet friends immediately following the memorial service with a coffee time at the church. As per Verla’s wishes, her body has been cremated and burial will be at a later date at the Waveland Cemetery in Prairie City.
Arrangements are being handled by the Wallace Family Funeral Home & Crematory in Newton.
