Albert Edward Hotchkiss Dead.

Albert E. Hotchkiss died Monday evening about a quarter before nine, aged thirty-one years. The cause of death was paralysis of the nerves. The funeral was held yesterday afternoon at two-thirty in the Baptist church, Rev. M. J. Sigler officiating, and the interment was made in Newton cemetery

Albert Edward Hotchkiss was born in Indiana, September 21, 1873, and lived there until at the age of fourteen when he came to Newton with his parents and has since resided here. He attended the public schools for a number of years and since leaving school has for the most part remained in the city. He was united in marriage to Miss Rosa Lewis, of Des Moines, September 14, 1899. He leaves a mother, Mrs. Mary Hotchkiss, two sisters, Mrs. Alice Snook of Seevers, and Mrs. Ida Darr of Waterloo, and two brothers Edgar and Fred both residing in this city with their mother.

Thus another of Newton's young men has been stricken down in the beginning of life. He was confined to his bed just three months and was perfectly helpless from his waist down. ~ Newton Daily News, April 5, 1905
