Suicide at Mitchellville

The village of Mitchellville was thrown into great excitement last Sunday afternoon about one o’clock, by the suicide of Mrs. F. W. Wyman, an estimable lady aged about fifty years. A telegram says that her husband had put some strychnine in his shop to kill rats, and it is thought that she found and took the drug while suffering from an attack of temporary insanity, induced by sickness and the loss of her boy, a few years ago. ~ The Newton Record, Friday, March 13, 1896, Page 1, Column 2
