Lynnville – Mrs. Secres died on the 16th inst. (of this month). The funeral services were held at the M. E. Church, Saturday the 18, and remains were laid to rest in the Peoria Cemetery. ~ The Newton Record, Part Two, Friday, January 24, 1896, Page 6, Column

Lynnville – Mrs. Secra, the aged mother of Mrs. Rev. Collier, died Tuesday morning. She was an excellent Christian woman and had been blind for fourteen years. Funeral services were conducted by Rev.
