Janet M. Millang, 85, of Sully died on Wednesday, March 2, 2011.
A funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 5, at the St. Andrews Lutheran Church in rural Sully. The family will greet friends from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Friday, March 4, at the Wallace Family Funeral Home.

Janet, the daughter of Virgil W. and Margaret (Wright) Williams, was born on April 13, 1925 in Iowa Falls. She grew up in Iowa Falls and graduated from Sibley High School in Sibley. Janet was united in marriage with Harlan Millang on January 25, 1946 in Nevada. They moved to Sully in 1961. Janet worked at United Telephone in Newton for 20 years, retiring in 1987. She was a member of APRES MIDI and enjoyed traveling, gambling, word search puzzles, and games. Those left to honor Janet’s memory are her 2 daughters, Marlene Millang of Boxholm and Karlene Millang of Boone; 2 sons, Dennis (Donna) Millang of Huxley and Gary Millang of Des Moines; her 8 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Harlan Millang; infant daughter, Sandra Millang; infant grandson, Brad Millang; her 2 sisters, Miriam Watson and Norma Zimmerman; step-son, Richard Rauer; and step-mother, Liera Williams.
Interment: 2:00 P.M., Saturday, March 05, 2011 at Story City Municipal Cemetery in Story City, Iowa.
