Kain, Cloman – 1925–2011

Cloman Kain, age 85 of Runnells, passed away on Friday, February 25, 2011, at his home. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 1, 2011, at 1:00 p.m. at the Prairie City United Methodist Church, with burial following at Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday, February 28, 2011, from 2:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Coburn Funeral Home in Prairie City. The family will greet friends from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Memorials may be directed to the Pleasant Hill Cemetery and condolences may be left for the family at www.coburnfuneralhomes.com.

The son of Earnest and Pearl (Quick) Kain, Cloman was born on February 27, 1925 in Marion County, rural Monroe. On October 30, 1943, he was united in marriage to Marcella Kingery in Unionville, Missouri. Cloman farmed and was a heavy equipment operator. He was also a member of the Morgan Valley Christian Church.
Those left to honor his memory are his wife, Marcella; his children, Aaron (Sharon) Kain of Runnells, Gerald (Mary) Kain of Prairie City, Jim Kain of Runnells, and Roger Kain and Barb States of Prairie City; eight grandchildren, Jodi, Jami, Hanah, Abbi, Eli, Jena, Dallas, Jeff and Kim and 16 ½ great grandchildren. Also surviving are three sisters, Marlene (Marvin) McReynolds of Prairie City, Polly Herwehe and Harold Phillips of Carlisle and Nona Kain and Bob Sheeler of Monroe. Preceding him in death were his parents, a son, Darrell in 1949, three brothers, Clyde, Johnnie, and Bernard and two sisters, Colene and Darlene.
