Former Resident Dies In Des Moines

Funeral services for Fern I. Carroll, 82, of Des Moines, were held Monday at the Highland Park Christian Church, with burial in the Masonic Cemetery in that city.

She died Friday at the Lutheran Hospital.

The daughter of Will and Mary Irwin, she was born and raised in Colfax.

Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Carol (Mickey) Murphy of Princeton and Mrs. William (Evelyn) Hedges of Des Moines; one son, William of Indianola; a sister, Mrs. Lyman (May) Too (Should be Tew) of San Diego, Ca.; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren, also among the survivors are cousins, Mrs. Bertha Garland of Grand Rapids, Michigan, Fred Wade, and Mrs. Jessie Stevens of Colfax. ~ name of newspaper unknown.
