Funeral services were held at the Galesburg Christian Church Friday afternoon, January 29, for Mrs. Cornelius Breen who passed away at a nursing home in Oskaloosa after a lingering illness. Rev. John Kerr officiated. Mrs. Breen spent her entire life in the Galesburg community and passed away at the age of 58. Survivors are her husband, one daughter Una Rae, and two brothers, Forrest Terpstra of Killduff and Harold Terpstra of Monroe. She was a member of the Methodist church and remained faithful to her confession until the end. She was also a member of the Methodist Circle and Elk Creek Grange. Music was by Lyle Brand, Jacob Brand, Clarence Wheatcraft, and Elmer Kooistra, accompanied by Mrs. Ted Emmert. Burial was in Hewitt Cemetery.
