Patricia J. (Robson) Banks, 70, of Knoxville, formerly of Newton, died Saturday, Jan. 15, 2011, at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines.
A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 18, at the Wallace Family Funeral Home in Newton with Pastor Doug Brady of the Living Word Fellowship in Knoxville officiating. The family will greet friends from 9:30 a.m. Tuesday until the time of service at the funeral home. Burial will be at Newton Memorial Park Cemetery in Newton.
Memorials to the Jasper County Animal Rescue League & Humane Society or to Progress Industries may be left at the funeral home.
The daughter of John N. Sr. and Dora L. (Dowd) Robson, Patricia was born Nov. 9, 1940, in Waterloo, Iowa. She graduated from Newton Senior High School in 1958 and was united in marriage to Robert M. Banks on July 26, 1989, in Newton.
Patricia was a homemaker and had worked in the transportation department for Progress Industries. She had lived in Knoxville since 2008, and she had lived her life in Newton prior.
She is survived by her husband, Robert of Knoxville; a daughter, Sandy (Dean) Clark of Knoxville; a granddaughter, Stephanie Baker of Chicago, Ill.; a step-daughter, Wendy and (Bill) Arnold of Antioch, Tenn.; three step-sons, Errol and (Kim) Banks of Colona, Ill., Troy Banks of Colona, Ill., and Brent and (Lisa) Banks of Sterling, Va.; and two step-granddaughters, Jessica Clark and Cassie Clark, both of Pella.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Donald G. and John N. Robson Jr.; and sister-in-law, Barbara Robson.
