Reasoner, Special.--Mrs. Wallace Hancock, 25, of Reasnor died Monday morning at 8:15 a.m. at the Skiff Memorial hospital as the result of complications following the flu.

Funeral services were held Wednesday at 2 p.m. from the Methodist Episcopal church in Monroe, with interment in the Monroe cemetery.

Mrs. Vera Herwehe Hancock, lifelong resident of Jasper county was born Sept. 17, 1908, on a farm three miles west of Reasnor, the daughter of Jacob P. and Mabel Herwehe.

Four years ago she was united in marriage to Wallace Hancock and to this union were born three children, Larry Rae, 3, Paul Lee 2, and Virginia May, 4 months. The family had moved from a farm to Reasnor six months ago. Mr. Hancock is employed at the Maytag factory in Newton.

Mrs. Hancock is survived by her husband, three children, her parents, and two sisters, Mrs. Francis Gearhart of Newton and Thelma, at home. ~ Jasper County Record, May 8m 1934
