Baxter, Ia.-- Funeral services for George Weimer, who died at the University of Iowa hospital in Iowa City Thursday, April 12, were held from the Boyd Funeral home Sunday afternoon, April 15 with the Rev. B. W. Northrop in charge. Burial was made in Restland cemetery.

Vocal music was furnished by a quartet composed of Mrs. Clara Louderbaugh, Mrs. E. S. Schroyer, Guy Hardenbert and C. E. Davey, with Mrs. Leon Cammack as accompanist. Pallbearers were George Geise, Zeno Finch, A. W. Jeffries, Charles Weston, L. F. Earley and George Stenberg.

George Weimer was born in Russell county, Kan., Nov 30 1902. He was married to Dicia Deaton on May 30, 1920, and after residing in Oklahoma for several yars they moved to Jasper county and lived in the Mingo vicinity until October, 1933, when they moved to Baxter. Mr. Weimer had been in ill health for the past three years, suffering from a heart ailment, which caused his death, April 12, at the age of 31 years, four months, and 12 days.

Surviving relatives include his widow, a stepson, Afton, and three daughters, Welma, Wanda, and Bonnie Jean, his father, David Weimer of Winsor, Colo., and two brothers, David at McCook, Nebr., and Jacob of Mitchellville, Ia. ~ Jasper County Record, May 8, 1934
