BAXTER - Reuben E. Bauercamper, 83, a resident of Baxter since 1937, died Wednesday, Jan. 4, at the Colonial Manor in Baxter.

Funeral services will be held at the Congregational United Church of Christ in Baxter.

The Rev. Darrell Bailey, pastor of the church, will conduct services. Burial will be in the Restland Cemetery in Baxter.

Memorial contributions to the church may be left at the Boyd-Davis Funeral Home in Baxter.

Survivors are his wife, Estella; a son, Gary of Bettendorf; two daughters, Charlene Goard of Urbandale and Mary Kay Thornton of Ankeny, two grandchildren; and a sister, Ruth Crawford of Miami, Fla.

Mr. Bauercamper was a member of the Congregational Church of Christ and the Masonic Lodge 520 AF and AM of Baxter.

Mr. Bauercamper had operated the Baxter Locker Plant for nine years, had been employed by the Farmers Implement Co. for several years, owned and operated the Plumbing and Pump Co. for several years and had been a security guard at the Maytag Co. before retiring.

The son of David and Sarah Hager Bauercamper, he was born July 4, 1906 in Waukon and attended Waukon schools.

He was married to Estella Goeke June 12, 1938, in Unionville, Mo.
