In Memory Of Larry Dean Robson

Larry Dean Robson, the son of Elmer and Mary Ellen Blansford Robson, was born January 24, 1938 in Newton, Iowa. At the age of 2 years Larry moved with his family to Waterloo, Iowa. He was graduated from East Waterloo High School. He received his degree from the University of Maryland. Larry had served his country in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict and the Vietnam War. He was united in marriage to Lelah J. De Haai on October 13, 1958, in Bethany, Missouri. He worked for Maytag Company in Automatic Dryer Assembly until his retirement in 1992. He was a member of the Community Reformed Church; the V. F. W. Newton Post # 1655; the American Legion Newton Post # 111; a life member of D. A. V.; a life member of the 40 & 8; and the Masonic Lodge in Attica, Iowa.

Death came to Larry on Tuesday, March 25, 1997 at the Skiff Medical Center in Newton. Larry was preceeded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents.

Those left to honor the memory of Larry include his wife, Lelah of Newton, two sons, Rick Robson of Washington, Iowa, and Ray Robson of Newton, two daughters. Carrie Verburg, of Indianapolis, Indiana, and Janice and her husband, Rafael Gonzales of Newton, five grandchildren, Valorie Verburg, Joseph Verburg, Ashley Verburg, Michelle Paulson and Megan Paulson, his parents, Elmer and Mary Ellen Robson of Appington, Iowa, his brother, Tim Robson of Appington, his sister, Linda DeWitt of Des Moines, Iowa, a special friend, Lavern Nearmeyer of Newton, and his nieces and nephews.
